Storyboard Kit

This was an extremely fun project. I collaborated with Nor Sanavongsay to create a promo video for his Storyboard Kit. The kit is an internal Figma Library that helps UX designers create storyboards more efficiently and was part of an internal effort to increase inclusiveness in design throughout the organization.

For the project, I came up with the idea of making a stop-motion animation using characters and scenes from the Storyboard Kit. Together we pitched our idea to management and won approval to make the film at the UX Studio in Victoria, B.C.

Over the next few weeks, I spent countless hours cutting out the characters and building the sets out of repurposed paper. We did some test videos in my Oakland home, then we packed it all up in our carry-ons and flew to Victoria.

Michael Anthony, Nor, and I spent 3 days filming in a small studio and the results were beyond expectations.

My teammates were both extremely talented individuals and made working together a fun and rewarding experience. The video was a success garnering lots of positive feedback from coworkers throughout the organization.
